The once heavy snow lightened, as Krystal stepped out into the wilderness surrounding the house. There, laying on the ground, not too far away from the foot path, was a body that was undoubtly that of Fox. Overcame with grief, Krystal dashed forward through the thick blanket of snow that covered the ground. "Fox!! Help! Somebody!" she cried as the wet fallen snow slowed her down and added to her anxiety.

Nearing Fox, Krystal stumbled and fell to the ground beside him, only to see his weak, lifeless eyes like that of a corpse. Krystal picked herself up and mustered all her energy to lift Fox's heavy body. There was no response but Krystal could still a slight warmth in him. They stared at each other in silence as the snow continued to fall... ...

Then, as the wail of the ambulance faintly sounds in the distance, Fox raised his arm from the ground, carrying brown-black gravel and white snow with it. In his hand, tightly clenched was a box - smaller than his palm; a velvet, red box with a white ribbon on top. "Merry Christmas... my love..." said Fox feebly as flashing red lights of the ambulance came into view. As paramedics rushed out with stretchers and guests from the house came to see the scene, Fox muttered softly, "wait for me...". Fox said nothing more as he was carried into the ambulance and the doors flung shut.

While the ambulance trailed away with Fox in it, Krystal unwrapped the present. In it lay an engagement ring, unscathed and shining boldly in the winter night.

This is the last picture to the short story cum drawing series for Christmas. I'm sorry it's sooo late. Didn't expect a black and white picture? I didn't either. :P Since colours require much more preparation, I decided to do some charcoal, which saves time but ultimately still makes it a late submission... ... :lol:
